Monday & Tuesday, June 17 & 18
We were unable to get a good internet connection yesterday, so Day 4 and Day 5 are combined below. More pictures will be added shortly - moose, cariboo, and bears.
After a short photo-op at the starting point of the Alcan highway, it was time to leave Dawson Creek and head to Fort Nelson, BC and on to Watson Lake, Yukon Terrirory.
It seemed that around every curve and over every hill there was a spectacular vista. Sometimes it was the same scene, but from a different viewpoint.
There is still a trace of snow in the high mountains.
This part of the journey was also like being on a safari. There were many animals on the side of the road as well as in the middle of the road, requiring us to stopand let them pass.
